I entered the Lifebuoy Art Contest

Well no news yet. I don't know if I won but it doesn't matter I can still share what I did with you.

The theme was washing your hands for better health.

I don't see how this connects directly to Earth Talk but it's my blog and this is my news for now.

Tell Me Why....

In my dream children sing songs of love for every boy and girl
The sky is blue and fields are green and laughter is the language of the world
Then I wake and all I see is a world full of people in need
Tell me why does it have to be like this?
Is there something I have missed?
Tell me why, 'cause I don;t understand
When so many need somebody, we don't give a helping hand.
Everyday I ask myself
What will I have to do be a man?
Do I have to stand and fight to prove to everybody who I am?
Is that what my life is for, to waste in a world full of war?
Tell me why does it have to be like this? Is there something I have missed?
When so many need somebody, we don't give a helping hand.
Tell me why, why does the tiger run?
Tell me why, why do we shoot the gun?
Why, why do we never learn?
Can someone tell me why we let the forest burn?
Why why do we say we care?
Why why do we stand and stare?
Why why do the dolphins cry?
Can some one tell us why we let the ocean die?
Why why if we're all the same,
why why do we pass the blame?
Why why does it never end?
Can someone tells us why we cannot just be friends?
Why, Why?

Odd, even or just plain strange?

Six Year Old Question of the week -

"Can I ask you something Mom? Is zero an odd number or an even number?"

MOM: hmmmmm I don't know if zero even qualifies as odd or even.

"Oh I know, maybe it's just ODD (read strange) then."

MOM: smiles

(Google answer courtesy MOM: fourth grade math teacher says EVEN.)

Beautiful Questions

Today I am wondering how people know what they want to do if they do not have it yet (if it does not exist yet).
For example if you wanted to play the piano, or basketball but it was not made up or invented yet.

JUSTIN TIME Vol 1.
22 nd. April, 2009
"Happy Earth Day Everyone!"

Our hills are so green. I do not want to see bare spots on them. It makes me feel sad.
I am only six years old but I care a lot for our environment because when humans build homes we take away animals’ homes. I see brown patches when I drive to school every day where trees have been cut down. I know it’s good for us to have homes but it’s sad because the animals lose their homes, we can cause floods, and it looks terrible. For Earth Day this year I went out with my friends taking pictures because we want to help save the Earth. I hope that grown ups will stop cutting down trees or I would say they should build around the trees, and plant back trees.
We hope you remember that every day is Earth Day because we all depend on the Earth.
If you love Trinidad’s green hills as much as we do, please show your love for the Earth today.
Welcome to Justin Time
P.S. My Mom is helping me with my blog until I am old enough.
